Elusive Irish black metal entity Beithíoch will release a new EP before the year’s end entitled Summoning The Past, through Broken Limbs Recordings. Heavy in atmosphere and laden with many doomed-out passages, Beithíoch certainly create a mood with each dirge. This preview ‘Arm Na Déithe’, which is actually a re-recording of the song that appeared on Aisling Dhorcha, is more on the pacier end of things though. The song kicks with some razor sharp riffing at first, however the vocals that enter soon after, and are mostly deep, husky near-spoken verses, don’t add too much. ‘Arm Na Déithe’ is hit and miss but the guitar work and atmosphere isn’t anything to skim over.
