It’s been four long years since Daylight Dies released their last album Lost To The Living, personally one of my favourite albums of 2008. It was modern death/doom in excelsis, alongside their 2006 gem Dismantling Devotion. Now the band is preparing the release of new album A Frail Becoming and has finally posted a song to stream – ‘Infidel’. The first thing that grabs you about this song is the pace, it’s much more up-tempo… by comparison to the dreary melancholic pace that has always characterised their gloomy output. It’s testament to the band’s will to evolve, an evolution that will become much more clear when A Frail Becoming is released. Decibel are streaming the song HERE or check it out below:
