Recently I was joyed to learn that Zozobra, the sludge outfit helmed by Cave In’s Caleb Scofield, were working on a new album. I was surprised because I assumed the project was put on hold, almost permanently, after Cave In reformed and released White Silence last year. Lo and behold though, the band is back, playing live and have debuted some new material at a recent gig.
Decidedly leaning more towards hardcore than the sludge of their previous two albums, this new material (what we can hear if it at least) is much faster, and if it was possible, even more visceral. The clip, filmed by a fan presumably, is down below and is eight minutes of all new Zozobra. Check it out.
