One of Holland’s death doom’s finest, Officium Triste posted a cover of Anathema’s ‘Sleepless’ last night. The song features on Anathema’s first album Serenades, a definite influence on the overall sound of Officium Triste so a cover isn’t all that surprising. What is surprising though is how this usually great band has released such a dire cover. Granted, it’s probably just for fun and it’s unclear if this will feature on any upcoming releases, the next being a split with Ophis called Immersed, coming out next month, and a new full-length is still in the works.
